Uh-huh. I can't put my finger on it, but it feels... different.

First time I've seen it so unfortunately I'm not that useful.

Heh, it's Hachiko! Or at least, it should be. He's a pretty famous dog here in Japan.

Mind telling me his story?

[adorabrawler]

Let's see... Well, a long time ago, Hachiko would come here to Shibuya station every day to greet his owner on his way home. One day the owner passed away, but Hachiko would still come every day and wait for him to get off the train for the next nine years. To this day he's still remembered for his deep loyalty.

[ Sniffles... Holding back a sob. ]

That's... That's so sad!

[ ..... vash, honey, ]

It kind of is, huh... Poor thing wouldn't know why his owner never got off the train again. But most people find it admirable.

It's rough because that really is loyalty, but that dog didn't move on... I wonder if it was still happy while waiting every day.

I dunno... Pets can miss their owners a lot, too. Maybe they're happy now? If there's really a heaven for them to go to.

Hopefully, it isn't some reaper's game.

Ugh, no way. This can't be where everyone ends up when they die.

How do you feel about everything so far?

Hm... I dunno. This area is familiar to me, but everything is a little off somehow.

[ Snorts before laughing. ]

I meant emotionally! But I guess that's good you're taken by this... Area. What is it called again? Shibuya?

[adorabrawler]

Yeah, Shibuya! It's one of the districts in Tokyo, where I live back home.

[piteous]

That's in Japan, right? Some of the people I know... Their ancestors are from there before they went into space.

So this is what it looks like—or kind of looks like.

Yep! If you're not super familiar with it, it'd probably look the same. Either way—I got a pretty hefty taste of what your home is like, and now you get to see mine.

It's true I never got to go to earth... This is kind of nice? It looks similar to Japonifornia, but a little different.

[adorabrawler]

"Japanifornia" is basically two places in one, I'm guessing—the other place being California. So it's got the same vibe, more or less.

Beeeen to neither of those! but I do see some similarities between Shibuya and Japonifornia.

All of this got you missing home?

... More than ever. It's not like I hang out in Shibuya all the time or anything, but I keep feeling like maybe I could hop on the train and head back home.
