I doubt anybody is expecting to tap into another dimension at all. I'm not even sure they were aware of us until that point. Regardless, I'm not going to say it's the fault of all humanity. We did have a plan to fix all of this.

A Royal Knight is a class of Digimon, or digital monster, native to the Digital World. They're tasked with the protection of Yggdrasil, as well as carrying out its orders. I suppose you could consider it something like a god? It manages the Digital World.
