[ylfa is standing outside smexy salon and puppy play, looking at both. i assume smexy salon has some of those like old photos of various beautiful women in fancy hairdos and full 50s makeups. and then puppy play has puppies.
she's just looking back and forth, giving off the feeling of indecision...
she's wearing her red cloak but it's been washed and the dress she is wearing underneath looks a little pink. she's a big cleaner than she's been for the past couple weeks, but her braids are still matted tangles; she hasn't taken them out or brushed them since she's arrived.]
Vash strolls along and looks at this scene, emotionshare delivering some confusion, amusement, and something darker in the backdrop but it is subdued and overshadowed by the more positive feelings. ]
[oh. she nods. she's a little self-conscious, but she nods. her feelings are...not dissimilar, but different, too. there's a lot of grief, and fear, and sorrow in the background of her more childish everyday interactions, but it doesn't feel like she's trying to repress it or hide it. it's just there.]
Yes. I was trying to think whether a dog bath might be better...the shampoos might be better for my fur?
[ Shake hands in underlying depression that lurks in the background. Vash definitely is trying to suppress it as much as possible. Pensive as he looks at the groomers then at the salon. ]
Hmmm, but dog baths don't seem as fun or comfortable as a spa treatment? Or do you think otherwise?
[ Doesn't even question it. He motions to the shadow staff and tries to explain that Ylfa wants to use this shampoo and clippers for her manicure. It's hard to tell if they understand, but they take it?
Got a lot of practice when I was a young tyke! Took a couple of knots and untangling, but learning from those mistakes is what got me to being able to make the fluffiest braids.
[ Maybe there should be pity for whoever taught him... Anyway, the shadow people begin SELF-CARE and they will offer to braid if Ylfa wants. ]

[ Stroking his chin. ]
I can bring you in—but it might be better if we take some shampoo from the groomers and just bring it over to the salon.

[ may gerard be a braids guy. The staff lead them in... time for a head spa. ]
I think I can do braids prettttty well, but it's better with someone you're comfortable with, right?

[she thinks haru is probably good at braids but he is an older teenager so it's fraught with tension.]
Or one of these shadow people can do it.

Anyway, he braids Ylfa's hair and she can have big poofy braids that taper down to little tails, tied with red ribbons. ]
