[I think I prefer horses...

But--oh, right. He did say that, didn't he. The past two days were a lot, but he remembers.]

Oh... yes. Well, I've got the notes if you'd like to see them. It'll be more difficult to work on them without her input, but I can show you what we were working on.

[HIS POOR COLD HEAD IS KILLING ME

Kaveh's also cold out here though so he nods toward the restaurant across the way.]

Let's go in there and I'll show you what I have?

[THIS ICON JUMPSCARED ME AGAIN HELP I HATE IT HERE.

Kaveh leads the way, though!! He is trying so hard not to stare at poor Vash's head but it's so hard. At least he has work to focus on!!! That can get him through anything.

Mehrak has conveniently been with them this whole time; Kaveh opens it up, fishing out the notebook he's been carrying around for a few weeks and flipping through the pages until he finds what he's looking for. He shows Vash some detailed sketches of a building that looks like this.]

Well, to start with--I was considering some of the factors we take into consideration for projects out in the desert. Anything from Aaru Village and beyond is typically built from stone, usually in a square or rectangular shape, with thick walls to withstand the erosion from frequent sandstorms and protect residents from the heat. But there are some problems with this style... the inner walls tend to need frequent maintenance, the structures are usually not well-ventilated, and we haven't done nearly enough with ornamentation, since it's typically not a concern for most architects--or the people who live there, since they have more important things to worry about. So, I thought I'd try to get creative with the structure of the building itself. This kind of shape would improve airflow, and the roof would be broad enough that you could make use of it, though it would vary depending on the intended purpose of the building. You could adjust for sandstorms with these components here, see? [Etc. etc. etc.] Granted, this won't work as well in more densely populated areas given the necessary space requirements, but... I thought, if nothing else, you could take the concepts back with you, and someone might be able to work off of them.

[He flips a few more pages.]

Now, another problem I ran into is that I wasn't sure if you had any stone available--or, if you did, what sort it was, or--you know. The details. [He waves a hand.] So, although someone has probably thought of this already, I started thinking of ways you might be able to repurpose your sand. We have our own reasons for not using it much in Teyvat, and, you know, I can't exactly do any research on a simulation... so I came up with some recommendations for things to try based on what I know of construction materials in Teyvat. Primarily, I think it depends on the composition of the mixture...

[And he will just ramble some more about this for a while until Vash stops him.]

[The way I forgot this was Week 6 Monday HELPPPPPPP TIME GOT AWAY FROM ME SO BAD well we can handwave the rest of this but I will give you my tag properly just so you know where this was going

ANYWAY. Kaveh nods at everything Vash says, taking notes as needed. This is truly so impossible in real life but with the combined powers of whacky sci-fi world and Fictional Genius from Fantasyland who knows. Maybe it's applicable??? Only time will tell.

But eventually he flips through the pages some more.]

Um, as for the rest of it... [He should probably be more hesitant about how much he's butting into Vash's personal business, but he'll be as aggressive as he needs to be if it means sending Vash and the others home with a little extra hope.] I know you said Knives isn't a problem from what you remember--or at least that he shouldn't be. But Wolfwood said that your memories don't match up, and... well, I didn't think it would hurt if you had something extra, even just as a failsafe. Did Nahida ever talk to you about this?

[Well, that answers his question.]

Essentially... several months ago--maybe a year, at this point--Nahida was not actually in charge of Sumeru. Most of us had no idea, but it turns out that the Sages had locked her away. They'd wanted to build their own god, one that they thought they could control, I assume. [Truly the only reason he knows these things is because he got the rundown from Cyno and the others after, and because he saw Nahida's memories.]

They succeeded in creating him... but Nahida was able to defeat him with the power of dreams. Now, obviously she doesn't have her divinity here, and your world doesn't have elemental energy like ours does... but I've been trying to work with her to come up with something that would work in your world, even temporarily.

[He's not so delusional that he thinks they'll be able to cobble together a magic Knives-defeating box with what they have here. But sending thw three of them home with something that might give them an edge, something he'd have no way of planning for--maybe it'll make a difference. He has to believe that, because he can't stand the idea of them getting out of here just to walk back into desolation and death.]

I was planning to make copies for each of you, just in case. [HE'S NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES.

His gaze softens, though, and he reaches out to put his hand on Vash's.]

I don't think it would be permanent, to be honest. [Even if it does work. Maybe it would be better if it was, but...] But... hopefully it would be enough to ensure you could do what you needed to do.

[Find a better way, or even just evacuate people somehow--he doesn't know. He's learned so much about Vash and his world, about their situation, but he's aware there's a thousand things he doesn't know, still.]
