[He is going to get a regular latte and then make a face because the beans aren't that good.]
It's not quite what I was hoping for... but it does help. Writing wasn't the same. [Though his emotions are kind of a complicated tangle, since he's worried they made too big of a scene out there.]
[He's valid, though he does lean over to curiously look at Vash's drink. Looks like a dessert...]
For now, I think all we can do is keep playing by the rules. But Livio seemed to think things would work out, and I want to believe in that.
[So he will just buzz with anxiety and refuse to consider the possibility of failure, or else he will break before the finish line and that would render everything so pointless that he simply would not survive it.
His expression softens, though.]
I know. Shenhe seems so different now. [Meanwhile Wolfwood has been awake for a single day]
[ Kaveh would be devastated and that's right of him, but Vash would be sad and resigned to death... Then again, his god isn't here in hip hop hell.
When he sees Kaveh peer over, he offers his drink? He may sample and sip through his straw. He doesn't care about cooties like Livio does. ]
I'm pretty optimistic... And, if anything, we can saw that we tried in our own way. [ Hm. ] I know she has been trying to be honest about how she feels, which is good.
Then there's getting pressured into the maid outfit.
[Yeah, success for him is mostly just making sure certain people get home, which is basically everyone before himself. But Vash gets it, so he doesn't need to say that.
He'll lean over and try some of Vash's drink though, because who cares about cooties.] I should've gotten this one...
[ Kaveh has to go home because he won't let him stay here. i don't know if we wanted to play with the other effects. Assigns touch week so they can bump shoulders. ]
We can share! [ Vash also takes a sip before looking apologetic. ] I was just exaggerating. I'm sure she was convinced and is having fun being a maid with everyone.
[They can bump shoulders!! I've just been tossing random effects in at all times tbh. Also listen... it's fine... I have yet to see a non-golden end game even though I think badend would really be the icing on the cake for everything the depressed blonds have been through
Also he's been spoiled so yeah he will share Vash's drink, but he's not too spoiled so he won't hog it.]
Oh, okay. [HE RELAXES even though he doesn't think Shenhe can really be bullied anyway] It really does seem like they've been getting along well over there.
[Which is good... they've missed the erased so much, but he's not going to begrudge them finding joy on the other side.]
[ Vash wouldn't mind considering it's free. AND STOP. Honestly, I think bad end would be super funny... it is what we deserve. ]
Yeah, I'm glad if there were any conflicts that it has been smoothed out for however much... Everything here has felt high-strung in comparison. No maid uniforms.
[hELP THAT WOULD BE SO FUNNY. We gotta prep our flaming wet bread.]
I know what you mean... but we may need to give her space, as well. [A part of him still wants to believe she can be reasoned with, though he's resigned to the fact that they'll likely need to fight her before she's calm enough to listen. They've destroyed something she viewed as her last hope, after all; she's probably full of despair right now.] I wish Nightingale would update us, if nothing else. But if they're looking after the erased, then perhaps it's better they aren't distracted.
[ Vash's emotions are still, though worried... While he doesn't want to consider killing her, he is aware it is an option. It may be what they need to do.
Closing his eyes, he sighs and rubs his neck. ]
Better to have them protected over there.[ Tilts his head. ] We can talk to the Erased about what happened there since it sounded like they also went back in time, then went to Shibuya River.
We should try, at least. Admittedly, I'm not certain I'll be able to sleep.
[He's on edge, still, even though there's nothing he can do to prevent them from being erased like they were last time. He wants to believe that the fact that they're still alive right now means they're safe until at least tomorrow, but he went through too many slightly varied time loops in Netzach's world to trust that.]
Too bad none of us can Taste of Poison us to sleep...
[ Vash is incredibly fine with helpful uses of powers even if he thinks it's a little weird.
He isn't sure if his heart will be anything but restless, but Vash has slept through enough anxiety-induced days. Another won't kill him. ]
From the weird chaos of a text, it sounded like they went back pretty far? Since they were worried about their own points disappearing. Won't know until we call them.
I do not know about Vash, but Kaveh leaves the party fairly early; however, he will come find him later on, with some pages of papers in his hands!!! OOCly I will tell you that if they get unnerfed on the endgame log Kaveh will definitely ask Nahida to send one of the triguns back with Divinely Enchanted Dream Power or whatever but I'm not going to drag you through another PC just for that tomorrow
[ VASH ALSO LEFT THE PARTY EARLY. It seems that he's at what's left of the park memorial, standing before a new cross with a drawing of a rose. and thank you pixi ]
[Truly they are just the same person. But yes they are!!]
What we talked about--for you to take home. [It's a copy of the notes Kaveh showed him when they talked!! About the KnivesBox 3000 but also his suggestions for possible architectural/structural improvements in NML, along with a few spitball ideas for devices that might help with general QOL, mostly just based off of things they have in Teyvat. I didn't think that hard about the specifics of these I won't lie but they're there.] Erm--you are going home, right?
[He's been assuming they would this whole time because they don't seem the types to not go home, but he stayed long enough to hear people talk about it so he has to make sure.]
[ Because Wolfwood and Livio will return there. They're both his anchors, or tethers, one his guide. Otherwise... Perhaps he would have gone somewhere else to be someone else. Vash never felt he quite belonged anywhere, despite loving so many and the hell he calls home. Home is still home.
But cool. He looks over the schematics and notes with some scrutiny, but glazing over parts he obviously does not understand too well. Those will be for scientists and engineers to figure out. ]
It's still your home. [Yeah, he gets it. Kaveh has a hard time imagining going anywhere else either, though, granted, his own life has been so much calmer.] ...But I do wish it was possible to maintain contact. I'll miss you.
[And, y'know, he'd try and rescue their wholeass world if he could, even though he knows that's way beyond his capabilities. Earth-shattering heroism was never really his role--Kaveh is far more suited to single gestures for individuals, despite his personality.
But, mm.]
...I'm happy that we made it. But... it feels too much like celebrating Ruby's death.
I'd like that, too! Especially when it's kind of hard to catch me back at home. I don't stick around anywhere for too long.
[ Sometimes you're just a drifter by nature, unfortunately out of habit. At least it just sounds like Vash has fun traveling around. ]
... Yeah, I guess you can say that. I know people are celebrating because it's finally the end, but... I didn't feel like I got the proper amount of time to mourn her passing.
[Kaveh would love to say something like "maybe you will go home and everything will be solved and then you guys can reinvent interstellar travel and you can come to Teyvat!!!" but unfortunately he is not that much of an optimist. The idea of world-hopping isn't that strange to him, but it's so far removed from what he himself can do--and he's a little afraid to get his hopes up anyway. Just because he's passing on a bunch of notes doesn't mean they'll actually come in handy.]
Me neither. [...] I wonder if her afterlife is peaceful.
[ Vash can be quite realistic and used to farewells, so he isn't thinking too far ahead like that. If it happens, then it happens. He knows that earth has space dimension warp, but tracking the right planet, dimension, and galaxy may be difficult.
Overall, he's fine with how things are. ]
... I'm sure it's better than suffering from the weight of all she tried to shoulder on her own.
